Digital Pins 101
What are Digital Pins?
A digital pin is the combination of a Digital Token (NFT) built on the Flow blockchain that you own, and its associated limited license to content from Disney. Digital pins and Disney Pinnacle are governed by our terms of use.
New digital pins each week! Collectors are able to purchase a selection of pins from Disney, Pixar Animation Studios and Star Wars. These can be purchased via:
- Welcome Bundle
- Revolving Storefront
- Mystery Capsules
Welcome Bundle Offer
To get you started on your Disney Pinnacle journey, we're currently offering a special Welcome Bundle, available right now with a limit of one purchase per customer. Purchase now here.
When a new Starter Edition is released, it will be available for a promotional price as the Welcome Bundle offer. Completing that Starter Edition while it is part of the offer will reward you with 3 free Mystery Capsules. You can claim these at any time while the Starter Edition is part of the Welcome Bundle Offer. In the event they are not claimed by the time a new Starter Edition is released, the reward will expire and will not carry over to the next Starter Edition Welcome Bundle offer.
Additionally, if a Starter Edition isn't fully completed until after that bundle is removed from the promotion, no Mystery capsules will be rewarded as it was not completed while that bundle was part of the Welcome Bundle Offer.
Revolving Storefront
The Revolving Storefront is located on the Home screen and updates with new digital pins for purchase, typically every 4 hours. Collectors can hunt for remaining digital pins to complete their Starter Edition set. Collectors can purchase only one of the same pin from the Revolving Storefront within a given window.
Additionally, any available Open Edition release will have pins accessible through the Revolving Storefront. Collectors may also find a rare Open Edition variant for purchase.
For each active Open Edition release, the Revolving Storefront selects at random (determined at the start of the sales window) up to one of each variant to include. Updated as of July 30th, 2025, Revolving Storefront odds vary depending on the number of variant editions within each release:
- Standard/Brushed Silver: always 100%
- Silver Sparkle: 7.77% per variant edition within the release
- Luxe Marble: 3.9% per variant edition within the release
- Golden: 4.8% per variant edition with release
- Digital Display: 1.5% per variant edition within the release
Example 1
A First printing release containing 5 digital pins with 4 variants will have these odds of appearing in the Revolving Storefront:
- Standard: 100%
- Silver Sparkle: 38.9%
- Golden: 24%
- Digital Display: 7.5%
Example 2
A second printing release containing 3 pins with 2 variants will have these odds of appearing in the Revolving Storefront:
- Brushed Silver: 100%
- Luxe Marble: 11.7%
If one of these variants is randomly selected to be included in the sales window, the Revolving Storefront will randomly select one qualifying pin (with equal odds) from all available pins in that release of that variant. If this selection results in selecting a pin that was previously included in the just-concluded sales window, the Revolving Storefront will make another random selection from among qualified variants in that release, reducing the odds that the same pin will appear in consecutive sales windows.
As an additional condition as of May 1st, 2026, any Open Edition digital pin designated as a Chaser will be excluded from appearing in the Revolving Storefront.
Limited Edition digital pins are not available through the Revolving Storefront, and are only available through purchase of a Mystery Capsule.
Mystery Capsules
Each Mystery Capsule reveals one digital pin. The specific pins that it may include as well as the odds, can be found on the Mystery Capsule detail page.
Series
Each new year brings a new Series, with our inaugural Series encompassing pins from all sets initially released in calendar year 2023. Once a Series is closed and a new Series begins, all brand-new pins will belong to the new Series. Available Starter Edition, Open Edition, and Open Event Edition pins, as well as any potential reissues of Open Edition pins from a closed Series will still belong to that closed Series.
Sets
Most Digital pins on Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs belong to a set, which is a collection of themed pins under the same studio. Collect at least one of each different digital pin in the set to complete it. Inspect any pin to see all the pins in the set so you know which pieces are missing. Check the Revolving Storefront often to hunt for the digital pins you need to complete sets.
Releases
A release is a number of drops scheduled for each digital pin set. Sets can consist of anywhere from one to multiple releases. Release timing is subject to change. While we do not anticipate changes absent necessity, we reserve the right to adjust release timing in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as technical issues.
Trading
Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs enables collectors to trade digital pins with others 24/7. You can access and share your Trade Link with other collectors so they can create and send you trade offers. Trades can only be executed if both parties accept, and once completed, are irreversible.
Additionally:
- Trades must include at least one (1) digital pin from each participant
- No digital pins are transferred until a trade is confirmed by both parties
- A single digital pin can be included in multiple trade offers, but once one of those offers is accepted, all other offers are canceled

Pin Variations
Starter Edition

Starter Edition digital pins do not display any serial numbers and are minted on demand during their availability windows. Collectors are not able to purchase multiples of Starter Edition pins. The Starter Edition pins are unable to be resold, transferred, or traded while they are available for sale.
Every Starter Edition digital pin will have an initial mint count prior to mint on demand. The initial mint count is the pre-minted amount for each token of digital pins. The initial mint count for our 2023 Series Starter Edition digital pins is as follows:
8,250 tokens across all 2023 Starter Edition digital pins.
The pre-minted number of tokens above is held for licensor, promotional use, and team and comp distribution.
Open Edition

New Open Edition releases are typically made available for three weeks.
These digital pins do not display serial numbers and will be released based on demand during their limited availability window. Open Edition digital pins may also be reopened for a reissue (e.g. "Second Printing") at a future date.
Every Open Edition digital pin, including its variants, will have an initial mint count prior to mint on demand. The initial mint count is the pre-minted amount for each token of digital pins.
The number for each initial mint count for our 2023 Series pins in each release is as follows:
- Open Edition (standard): 1,500 tokens in a release across all standard pins
- Open Edition (Silver Sparkle): 600 tokens across all Silver Sparkle variants
- Open Edition (Golden): 375 tokens across all Golden variants
- Open Edition (Digital Display): 113 tokens ( for releases containing a chaser) to 126 tokens (for releases without a chaser) across Digital Display variants
The number for each initial mint count for our 2024 Series pins is as follows:
- Open Edition (standard): 300 tokens for each standard pin
- Open Edition (Silver Sparkle): 120 tokens for each Silver Sparkle variant
- Open Edition (Golden): 75 tokens for each Golden variant
- Open Edition (Digital Display): 20 tokens for each chaser Digital Display variant and 25 tokens for each other Digital Display variant
The number for each initial mint count for our 2025 Series pins is as follows:
- Open Edition (standard): 170 tokens for each standard pin
- Open Edition (Silver Sparkle): 95 tokens for each Silver Sparkle variant
- Open Edition (Golden): 45 tokens for each Golden variant
- Open Edition (Digital Display): 20 tokens for each chaser Digital Display variant and 25 tokens for each other Digital Display variant.
The pre-minted number of tokens of each digital pin above is held for licensor, promotional use, and team and comp distribution.
Disney Pinnacle may also reissue Open Edition digital pins at a later time and initial mint count may vary by Open Edition release.
A First Printing is the initial production run of a digital pin. Additional pins may be reissued at a future date, but would not be First Printing (e.g second printing) and would only include different variants than were available in the initial production run. This means that, for example, if the First Printing included Standard, Silver Sparkle, Golden, and Digital Display variants, those variants would not be available in any future reissue.
While First Printing pins can only be obtained during the initial availability window for an Open Edition pin, reissues allow collectors a limited opportunity to obtain new printings.
18 months after the last availability window of any given Open Edition digital pin will mean that the digital pin is permanently closed, and no more reissues will be made.
Why do some Open Edition reissue digital pins show two different years?
Additional printings can be released within 18 months of the prior release, sometimes crossing into future years. The year in the legal line on the back of the pin is the mint year (when it was produced). The year in the top right corner, visible when you tap the pin’s digital clasp, is the original Set release year. For example, a digital pin minted in 2025 might belong to a 2024 Set, reflecting a new variant within that set.
The number for each initial mint count for Open Editions with second printings in 2025 are as follow:
- Open Edition (Brushed Silver): 170 tokens for each Brushed Silver variant
- Open Edition (Luxe Marble): 45 tokens for each Luxe Marble variant
Completing an Open Edition set
Most Open Edition sets are released over multiple waves, so you may need to keep checking back as new waves are released to complete your set.
Try to collect at least one of each pin in the set, or go for 100% set completion by collecting every standard pin AND every variant in the first printing.
Open Event Edition
Open Event Edition digital pins are mint-on-demand pins available for a specified period, rather than with a preset mint count. The distribution method for each of these digital pins varies depending on the associated event. Some Open Event Edition digital pins will have a maturation period during which they cannot be transferred, traded, or sold once acquired.
The Color Splash variant’s reveal can follow different styles but will always end with the full digital pin, or part of it, being filled in with color, starting from an uncolored state. This could also include elements of the art appearing within it. The final result will always match the other variants design from the same set.
The number for each initial mint count for our 2024 Series Open Event Edition digital pins is as follows:
- Open Event Edition (Colored Enamel): 300 tokens for each Colored Enamel pin
- Open Event Edition (Embellished Enamel): 125 tokens for each Embellished Enamel variant
- Open Event Edition (Color Splash): 75 tokens for each Color Splash variant and 60 tokens for each chaser Color Splash variant.
The number for each initial mint count for our 2025 Series Open Event Edition digital pins is as follows:
- Open Event Edition (Colored Enamel): 170 tokens for each Colored Enamel pin
- Open Event Edition (Embellished Enamel): 95 tokens for each Embellished Enamel variant
- Open Event Edition (Color Splash): 45 tokens for each Color Splash variant and 30 tokens for each chaser Color Splash variant.
The pre-minted number of tokens of each digital pin above is held for licensor, promotional use, and team and comp distribution.
Limited Edition

Limited Edition digital pins are serialized, and minted to a specific hard supply cap. These pins will never be reissued, and are generally available for 1 week, or while supplies last, via a limited supply of Mystery Capsules.
In Series 2023, Series 2024 and Series 2025, a maximum total of 1,631 tokens of digital pins are the pre-minted maximum supply of each Limited Edition release, with 131 pins from the total supply being held for licensor, promotional use, and team and comp distribution.
If a Limited Edition drop ends without selling out, every unclaimed #1 serial will be pulled from the burn pool and preserved for future promotional use. All other remaining supply will follow the standard burn process.
Limited Event Edition
Limited Event Edition digital pins are specially minted digital pins that are released in connection with a specific event, either in-person at a designated physical location or celebrated more widely. Each of these digital pins has a specified maximum mint count, and they may be distributed in various ways.
The total supply of Limited Event Edition pins minted can vary depending on the event and release. Up to 8% of the total minted supply is reserved for promotional use, team distribution, and compensation. These are not included in the public drop but may be distributed later through giveaways, campaign rewards, or internal uses.
If a #1 serial pin isn’t pulled by a collector during the event, it will be held for future promotional use. The remaining supply will follow the standard burning process.
Some Limited Event Edition Digital Pins may be included in specified Open Edition Mystery Capsules (while supplies last). The listed odds for each Mystery Capsule always specify the potential contents. Some Limited Event Edition digital pins may have a maturation period during which they cannot be transferred, traded, or sold after acquisition.
Genesis Edition
Genesis Editions are completely unique, 1-of-1 mint count digital pins. All Genesis Editions are the first minted digital pins from their respective franchise within a studio or category, and they may be distributed at a later time.
2023 Series Genesis Editions
In addition to being the first minted digital pins of their respective franchise and studios, the 2023 Series Genesis Editions were also the very first digital pins ever minted on Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs.
Three of the twelve 2023 Series Genesis Editions were distributed to collectors during the Genesis Keys & Capsules event in 2025.
Legendary Edition
Legendary Edition digital pins are serialized and minted to a limited supply cap of 41 editions, spread across 4 variants and are the most premium tier of digital pin collectibles outside of Genesis Edition. Each digital pin in a Legendary Edition set is released across multiple variants, with each variant featuring distinct design elements such as materials, colors, accents and a dangling charm that reflects its designated mint structure.
- Quartis: Max mint count of 25
- Xenith: Max mint count of 10
- Quinova: Max mint count of 5
- Apex: Max mint count of 1
Legendary Edition digital pins may be distributed through various methods that can differ from drop to drop. Distribution models may include direct sales, event-based rewards, promotions or other mechanisms determined appropriate for each campaign.
When Legendary Edition digital pins go for direct sale via Mystery Capsule, the odds of pulling each variant are as follows:
- Quartis – 60.96%
- Xenith – 24.3%
- Quinova - 12.2%
- Apex - 2.44%
In most cases, all available mint counts will be made accessible to collectors at the time of release; however, Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs reserves the right to hold back select editions from any Legendary Edition drop, including specific variants or serials, for licensor, event rewards or future promotional use. When this occurs, it will be communicated before release.
Following a drop, if any variants or notable serials (such as #1 or perfect serials) remain undistributed, Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs reserves the right to retain select editions for future promotional use. Any remaining editions not designated for future use will be burned.
Chasers
Look out for the Chaser! This digital pin's odds of being revealed in a Mystery Capsule are lower. Keep an eye out for the Chaser value prop when revealing a pin from a Mystery Capsule as that indicates you've found a Chaser!
Magic Reveal Digital Pins
Quickly spin these digital pins for a Magic Reveal of bonus content! Once this digital pin is sold out, only owners and those invited by the owner to view the Magic Reveal will be able to access the bonus content. Digital pins that have a Magic Reveal can be identified by the star next to them.
Digital Pin Details
Each digital pin has specific details that include it's name, set, edition type, series, and studio or category. Interact with the pin by clicking the clasp on the back to explore the details.
Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs will initially withhold randomly selected digital pins from the set for licensor, promotional use, team and comp distribution.
Pinbooks
A Pinbook is your opportunity to show off your Disney digital pin collection to your friends and other collectors. The Starter Pinbook allows you to display up to nine of your favorite pins at once.
Some Starter Pinbook backgrounds have a border. These borders indicate that an activity associated with a specific edition or variant was required to be completed in order to receive the background as a reward. The color of the border indicates the digital pin edition type or variant that was a part of the activity or requirement. The border does not add value to the background.
Starter Pinbook backgrounds that are available to collectors and unlocked during an event do not have a border and may have an activity or requirement that needs to be completed in order to receive it.
Backgrounds that are given as a reward, with or without a border are non-transferable.
Set Completion Rewards
Certain new releases will be launched with an associated Set Completion task. Completing the designated Set Completion task will result in the specified rewards, which may be cosmetic or may involve special access to specific digital pins. All requirements for a Set Completion task will be provided in advance to allow collectors an acceptable amount of time to accumulate the required digital pins and earn the associated reward. All participants who complete the requirements by the end of the Set Completion period are guaranteed a reward.
Note that unless otherwise specified, only one reward will be available per Set Completion task per account (attempting to accumulate multiple pieces for the same task will not result in multiple prizes). As a reminder, Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs requires Dapper Wallet, which has a strict one account per human policy. Multi-accounting and/or botting may result in closure of the account and potential forfeiture of all assets. Know the rules; play nice, play fair.
Event Edition Reward
An Event Edition Reward is an Open Event Edition or Limited Event Edition digital pin in which it’s initial distribution is through meeting event requirements that the digital pin is tied to.
There have been Open Event Edition and Limited Event Edition Event Rewards already. What happens to those?
Any previously existing Open Event Edition and Limited Event Edition digital pins that were initially distributed as rewards-only will have the Event Edition Reward value prop applied to them.
