Dapper Labs Trivia Event is the perfect way to challenge yourself, connect with fellow fans, and win exclusive prizes. So get ready, study up, and we’ll see you in the #Trivia-Event Channel in Discord!

How to Join

There are two ways to participate, depending on how the event is hosted:

  1. Discord-Based Trivia   The game will take place directly in the #trivia-event channel inside the official Disney Pinnacle Discord. Questions will be posted live, and you'll answer right in the channel.

  2. Third-Party Trivia Platform  If the event uses an external trivia tool, the rules, join link and access code will be shared in the #trivia-event channel 10 minutes before the game starts.  Trivia begins right at the scheduled time, but participants can join at any time. A winner will be announced at the end of each round. The third-party platform provides a comprehensive report for each round, broken down by question, score and time.

🚨Important: For accuracy in getting all prizes to the correct winners, when using third-party platforms, please use the email associated with your Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs account in the player identifier when joining Kahoot! If you are joining and have not made an account yet, the email provided will need to be the email used when creating your Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs account.

Additionally, the fastest answer may not show on the scoreboard if the participant with the fastest to answer is further down on the scoreboard. Only a certain number of people will show with the top scores.

Example: there are 10 players showing in the top scorers and all have scores above 5000. A player with 2000 points may get the answer correct the fastest, but would still not show up on the top scorers, due to their score not meeting the same amount of overall points.

How to Play
  • Answer Trivia Questions – multiple-choice or true or false questions will be asked based on the theme of the night.
  • Be Fast! – The quicker you answer correctly, the better your chances of scoring high and winning a prize.
  • Compete for Prizes – Earn points based on your response time and accuracy to climb the leaderboard. Participants with the top 3 scores at the end of the event will win leaderboard prizes.
Ways to Play

The structure of how the trivia prizing is conducted will be announced ahead of the event, and could be played in two ways:

Individual Question Prizing + Leaderboard

This way of the trivia involves a prize for each question as well as additional prizes awarded to the players who end up in the Top 3 of the leaderboard.

Leaderboard Prizes (Point Accumulation Trivia)

This way of trivia is to play for the highest score. Players who end up in the Top 3 leaderboard spots will receive the prizes. The prizing structure for this way to play may include an increased number of digital pins, ie: full Limited Edition or Open Edition digital pin sets. The prizing will be announced ahead of time.

Possible Prizes

Each trivia event can feature a mix of prizes. Prizes may be awarded through individual question rounds and/or based on final leaderboard placement, calculated from the total points accumulated during the event.

Participants may continue playing after winning an individual question prize, but will only be eligible to win leaderboard prizes at the end of the event.

  1. Dapper Balance Prize

Each trivia question and/or final leaderboard placement may have a prize of non-withdrawable Dapper Balance. Participants can only win Dapper Balance once per event from individual question rounds. However, participants may still win a Dapper Balance prize through final leaderboard placement, if applicable.

  1. Digital Pins

Each individual trivia question and/or final leaderboard placement may award digital pins, including but not limited to:

  • Previously sold-out Open Edition or Limited Edition digital pins from the Dapper Labs reserve
  • Mystery Capsules from a currently available release.
  1. __Pinbook Backgrounds __

Each individual trivia question and/or final leaderboard placement may award one digital Pinbook background.

These Pinbook backgrounds may be exclusive to trivia events and allow participants to show off their trivia participation and performance.

Official Rules

To keep things fair and fun, here are the official rules for Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs Trivia Events:

  1. General Gameplay/Contest Rules
  • This is a contest, not a sweepstakes. Winners are selected based on skill and knowledge. Winners are determined by response time and accuracy. The first correct response to each trivia question will determine the individual winners for that round.

  • At the end of the event, the top three players on the leaderboard, based on accumulated points, will win the leaderboard prizes.

  • One Prize Per Player: Once a participant wins a prize during the questioning rounds, participants can still play, but are only eligible for leaderboard prizes at the end of the event.

  • In the event of a tie: Please see below for tie-breaker rules that include both question round and leaderboard prizing.

  • One Answer Per Question: Only your first response to each question will count.

  • No Outside Help: Googling answers, using bots, or sharing answers is not allowed.

  • No Purchase Necessary: Participation is completely free.

  • Sportsmanship Matters: Be respectful to other players. Any form of cheating or harassment will result in disqualification.

  1. Disney is Not a Sponsor or Administrator
  • Disney is not a sponsor, administrator, or prize provider for this event. This contest is run by Dapper Labs Inc.
  • Disney, including Buena Vista Books, Inc. and its parent, affiliated, and subsidiary companies, and its and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, is released and indemnified from any claims related to this event.
  • Disney employees are not eligible to enter or participate in the sweepstakes or contest. This exclusion applies to all employees of The Walt Disney Company, including its parent, affiliated, and subsidiary companies.
  1. Prize Eligibility & Claiming

Dapper Balance is non-withdrawable and can only be used within the Dapper ecosystem.

Discord trivia only

  • Participants must have a Dapper account to claim their prize.
  • Winners will have 24 hours to claim their prize. To claim their prize, winners must DM the Community Manager with their Dapper account username/email.
  • Prizes will be delivered within 48 hours of the end of the event. If a winner does not have a Dapper account, they must create one before the 24 hour claim period is over. Unclaimed prizes will not roll over to the next trivia event.

Third-Party trivia only

  • Participants must have a Dapper account to claim their prize.
  • All prize winners will be recorded using the platform’s report.
  • Prizes will be delivered to winners within 48 hours of the event.

It is important to use a valid email address in the player identifier that is attached to a participant’s Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs account. Failure to provide the correct email address could result in a lost reward and may not be able to be re-delivered to the correct account.

Gameplay & Scoring
  • Between 5-20 questions from the featured studio/category will be asked.
  • There will be a timer set for each question(round) and participants will have 20 seconds to answer.
  • The longer it takes to answer the question correctly, the fewer points are awarded.
  • The maximum score for each question is 1,000 points.
  • This allows for a more accurate score based on the fastest answer, as the points decrease as time runs out.
  • Participants have 15-20 seconds to answer each question, and only their first answer will count.
  • If the answer is incorrect, the resulting score will be 0.
  • If the answer is correct, the score will be based on how fast the question was answered.
  • Any answers chosen after the first response will be ignored.
  • At the end of each question(round), a leaderboard of fastest answers and total scores will be shown. The person with the fastest answer for a question(round) will be the winner of that round.
  • Participants can only win a prize once during the rounds of questions. If the participant with the fastest answer has already won a previous round, the participant with the next fastest answer based on points will be determined the winner for that round.
  • While a participant who has already won cannot win anymore throughout the rounds of questions, they can still look to build their score to be one of the top 3 on the leaderboard.
Tie-Breaker Rules

In the event of a tie for a question prize:

  • Previous winners will be removed from consideration first.
  • The remaining tied participants will receive the prize associated with the question.
  • If there are fewer prizes than tied participants, the remaining winners will receive an equivalent prize of the same MSRP from the same set.

Example: If 100 people tie for a Golden variant digital pin featuring Ariel but only 95 are available, 95 will receive Ariel, 5 will receive another Golden variant digital pin featuring another character that is from the same set. Winners of the alternate equivalent prize will be determined at random.

For leaderboard ties:

  • If multiple participants are tied for a leaderboard prize, all participants that are tied for that position on the leaderboard will receive the reward associated with their placement if the leaderboard prize is Dapper Balance.
  • If leaderboard prizes are digital pins and there are fewer prizes than tied participants, the remaining winners will receive an equivalent prize of the same MSRP from the same set. Winners of the alternate equivalent prize will be determined at random.

Below is an example of the scores that could occur during a trivia event and how it will be tracked by the host of the event.

| | R1 | R2 | R3 | R4 | R5 | R6 | R7 | R8 | R9 | Total | | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | ---------- | | P1 | 985 | 890 | 990 | 750 | 919 | 890 | 700 | 940 | 970 | 8025 | | P2 | 899 | 911 | 980 | 860 | 875 | 910 | 850 | 825 | 860 | 7970 | | P3 | 875 | 923 | 899 | 880 | 870 | 920 | 930 | 899 | 962 | 8158 | | P4 | 828 | 873 | 299 | 920 | 790 | 950 | 985 | 975 | 789 | 7909 | | P5 | 811 | 922 | 853 | 950 | 830 | 870 | 975 | 910 | 890 | 8087 | | P6 | 790 | 759 | 902 | 975 | 901 | 850 | 960 | 980 | 870 | 7987 | | P7 | 773 | 843 | 970 | 890 | 810 | 720 | 899 | 892 | 901 | 7698 | | P8 | 760 | 901 | 825 | 970 | 852 | 995 | 780 | 978 | 888 | 7949 | | P9 | 723 | 650 | 930 | 850 | 843 | 980 | 982 | 974 | 900 | 7832 | | P10 | 700 | 853 | 960 | 921 | 720 | 990 | 920 | 920 | 980 | 7964 | | P11 | 691 | 900 | 950 | 960 | 900 | 840 | 891 | 935 | 920 | 7987 | | P12 | 690 | 789 | 930 | 891 | 899 | 873 | 902 | 880 | 950 | 7804 |

R represents the round, and P represents each player.

Below is an example runthrough of how the winners are determined based on scoring.

Round 1: Player 1 wins as they have answered the fastest and have the highest score to 1,000

Round 2: Player 3 as they have answered the fastest and have the highest score to 1,000

Round 3: While Player 1 answered fastest, they already won in round 1 and are now playing to have a leaderboard spot. The prize would then go to Player 2 as they would show second on the leaderboard for that round.

Round 4: Player 6 wins as they have the highest score to 1,000

Round 5: While Player 1 and Player 6 would be considered the top 2 fastest answers, they have both won rounds in the previous rounds, leaving Player 11 with the next highest score

Round 6: Player 8 wins as they have the highest score to 1,000

Round 7: Player 4 wins as they have the highest score to 1,000

Round 8: While Player 4, 6 and 8 all had higher scores, they all have won in previous rounds, giving the prize to Player 9.

Round 9: Player 10 wins as they have the highest score to 1,000

Based on the scores above, Player 3 was #1, Player 5 was #2 and Player #1 was #3. While player 5 did not win in any of the rounds, their high scores allowed them to finish in the Top 3.
